In this video, I explain about the pineal gland. It actually has optical tissue, probably because tissue from your retina extends up into the pineal gland in your brain. It produces a hormone called melatonin. Although you can take melatonin to help you sleep, I don’t recommend it. Because it’s a hormone, over time your pineal gland will become dependent on you taking melatonin, and you’ll need to keep increasing the amount to get the same effect.

Melatonin turns into serotonin, which helps you sleep. It’s also involved with something called the adrenal axis, which is the adrenal pathway from the hypothalamus, through the pituitary gland, and down to the adrenals, creating a feedback loop that’s involved in the triggering of adrenal hormones. When you’re ill, your immune system is affected by melatonin, which is probably why you want to sleep when you get sick.

Melatonin is also involved in your mood and your stress. When you’re deficient in melatonin, your immune system is weakened. This is why it’s dangerous not to get a good night’s sleep with its accompanying melatonin; you can be set up for all kinds of immune problems.

You could potentially get insomnia and have anxiety. The ratio of your estrogen to progesterone could be thrown off.

As you age, your melatonin decreases. If you’re on medications, especially antidepressants, they could really mess with your melatonin levels.

Melatonin is triggered by darkness. And one study showed if you keep a light on for the first hour that you’re trying to sleep, you can decrease your melatonin by 71 percent. So when you go to bed, keep the lights dim or off. Low intensity aerobic exercise such as long walks will help. But be sure not to overtrain.

Keep electromagnetic frequency (EMF) low. Don’t sleep with your cell phone next to your head, or surround yourself with electrical equipment. Stress can inhibit your pineal gland’s function. And finally, limit your caffeine intake.

See how important the role of your pineal gland is for your sleep?

  2. I am a graduate of several Berkeley Psychic Institutes programs. I spent about $20000 over the years. Since April 2022, unwillingly I got on a mental torturing system while unconscious, I paid extra $1000 to Renaau Brewster as they requested over the phone. This system has been creating weird images n voices in my space except when I'm asleep. It's very dangerous as I involuntary dropping stuff in the kitchen n I was pushed by invisible hands while walking in public. They told me I should vent online on a regular basis, I was told at times the system is a Russian or CIA spy training system that mostly protects only white and married graduates, as the Russian system dislikes unmarried minorities, especially single male Buddhist !! One of the evidence is that the main Berkeley Psychic Institute building sold to a Tibetan community!

  3. Respectfully I believe you mean melatonin supplements turn into serotonin, that's right, otherwise it's the other way round. I'm no expert in this particular area of brain chemistry, far from it, although it is something I'm studying meticulously right now.

  4. Came here from Dr. Joe Dispenza's introduction on Pineal gland… this made so much sense! Well-explained and nobody told the connection between adrenal and pineal, that was amazing. Thank you!

  5. I am totally blind and suffer from non-24 sleep wake disorder. I cannot see light. I live low carb lifestyle. Is there hope that I can use food and supplements to reset my circadian rhythm instead? Fermented Skate liver oil helped for a while, but results were inconsistent after a year, and only one brand that I no longer wish to use. Many health complications due to cortisol and melatonin being out of sync. I'd love help that is not drugs. Thank you!

  6. Do animals and birds have pineal glands like us that secrete melatonin? I am wondering if red light would be beneficial to pets and birds.

  7. I would love to know more about this gland. I see allot of videos about the pineal gland becoming calcified by things like fluoride in tap water and tooth paste and therefore stopping it from working properly. I wondered how true this is? And if so what can be done to reverse these effects?

  8. Gee whiz, I’ve taken a .5mg melatonin supplement as a youth enhancement regimen for years. Will my pineal gland pop back now that I am considering stopping taking it. I keep my room dark and dim my lights in the evening as well as get lots of exercise too. I’m concerned

  9. There was some twitter health expert who claimed that sun gazing could bring sooo many benefits to your health.

You have to be barefoot in a sand and at first stare at the sun as long as you can.

Obv you don't want to burn your eyes by looking intenesely at sun but you stare as long as it make you comfortable.

Oh and it had to do a lot with pineal gland

  10. I watched a video on the third eye and the pineal gland and found it interesting and kind of calming although I didn't agree with a single thing the guy was talking about which is probably because that was the first time I had heard of it. Watching this and getting and actual doctors opinion really helped so thanks for a scientific explanation

Also is that stuff about decalcifying the pineal gland with vegetables and stuff like that true
