I generally have a very low threshold for comics that i'll check out. I just genuinely love discovering new stories and creative voices and art
That said i am 100% with you on this specific flavor of "contemptuous deconstruction" that we get from most of Mark Millar's output and Ennis' The Boys. If something even looks like it's going to be about "wot if superheros was twisted and fucked up…" I'll usually skip it. I find the contempt for the genre to be exhausting, and if the author really has such contempt, why not write something else??
Ever notice that comics like Marshal Law and the Boys are written by really bitter passive aggressive people?

Honestly if Pinhead was gonna cross paths with any comic character the first choice I would've gone with would be either Spawn or Hellboy at least those would be kinda fun

And that's the difference between The Boys comic and the tv series. One is made by someone who vocally hates superheroes and uses The Boys comic to shit on Justice League and X-Men and Teen Titans instead of genuinely using it to actually say something. The other is made by people who love superheroes but acknowledges that they should not exist in real life.
I've always hated "superheroes would really be jerks". There are people who use their every advantage to help themselves, yes, but just as many if not more want to help people. Firefighters often have tremendous strength and use it to save lives
For a second I thought it was Martial Law and it had Cynthia Rockrock kicking Cenobite ass . That's a shame.

Comics Historian and writer Mark Waid, and former DC comics President Paul Levitz noted in the 2006 documentary, Look up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman, that the golden age covers were actually seen as offensive back in the 40s, due to how the heroes could easily defeat the Nazis and Japanese, but the threat of the Axis being there the next day. Yes, they said in the documentary that it was seen as disrespectful to the risks and hard work put forward by the Allied troops risking tooth and nail. Also, writers at EC comics such as the late John Severin saw the golden age superheroes fighting in the war as insulting and glamorizing war, which is what led to the Frontline Combat and Two-fisted tales titles in the early 1950s as early anti-war comics following the Korean war.
the only part of this comic i enjoyed was watching marshal law getting tortured, and even that was fucked up by how pinhead was drawn!
Now a crossover between Pinhead and the Joker, that would be awesome

Actually, I'd say that stuff like Norse Mythology, where they talk about dying with honor in combat and are even given a special place in their equivalent of heaven, and even some of King Arthur's legends do more to glorify war than superheroes do.

The comic also feels kind of insecure and homophonic. One of the problems the writer has with superhero’s are their flashy costumes. Like “real men look like soldiers in their dark practical uniforms bleeding in the dirt”. And then it ends with Marshal rejecting love to bang naked women. Just saying.
Linkara telling Pinhead go to Heaven is one of the best lines ever in the series.
Heck, the only ways to torture demons, devils and other hellish creaturee is to make them watch VeggieTales and ither Christianity religion things while also making them listen to Christianity music nonstop would bring much joy to most people, including myself.

As someone who’s served in the RCAF for almost a decade now the notion that superheroes distract from “real” heroes like soldiers is honestly more insulting. This feels so much like pandering and sucking up made worse by the likely chance the writers never served a day in their life. And even then you can still write pro-soldier stuff well, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Clancy never served but they were good writers that captured their subject matter well, not this trash written by an edgy 15 year old. Both myself and dozens of my co-workers enjoy superhero stuff as a form of fun and escape from reality because we need that break. This was like Garth Ennis and Michael Bay levels of pandering and I hate it.

I hate how often your chosen profession DEMANDS you partake in such diatribes, but thank you for one more denunciation of "superhero deconstruction". Say what you will about human nature, but most people are at least TRYING to be the best person that they can be. Why does EVERY modern story about someone with powers and abilities beyond those of mortal men HAVE to be about said person being an asshole?

Wow I'm me and all but this comic is like the ultimate pinnacle of the 90s. Some might argue that the 2000s (especially post 9 11) were even more edgy angst life is pain woe is me but it definitely had its origins in the "it's not a phase mom ever clear will be cool for ever mom"
In other words if 90s comics where an edgy angst teenage phase the 2000s was am edgy angsty adulthood that never outgrew it.
So how do you put your character in a self-admitted SS uniform and still think they’re the good guy?
Holy crap, even teenage me at his edgiest would have considered this comic cringe inducing. And the art is just ugly to look at, as you said.
Another example of a GOOD superhero deconstruction comic would be the Astro City series.
For The Boys I prefer the TV Series over the original comic.
