  1. Doctor Abud, thank you for this!! I’m a functional nutritionist and literally all my clients hate swallowing melatonin pills. A thin oral strip with 0.5 mg + L-theanine + maybe a touch of lavender that dissolves under the tongue in 20 seconds… we would order thousands of units immediately. Does anything like this exist yet? 👀

  2. Really appreciate this more balanced view on melatonin, not just “take more and sleep better”.
I run a very small oral dissolving film (ODF) factory in China – we mainly make melt-on-the-tongue strips for sleep and vitamins, but I’m still a beginner when it comes to sleep science.

From your experience, if melatonin is used at all, do you think very low doses (0.3–1 mg) and short-term use make more sense than the 5–10 mg products we see everywhere?

I’m asking because when we design melatonin strips, I don’t want to just copy “high-dose gummies”, but try to respect what sleep experts actually recommend. Any thoughts would be super helpful. 🙏

  3. You don't know what you're talkin about this is absolutely false with age melatonin production diminishes and people are experiencing the occasional insomnia and is very helpful.
